July 18, 2026 Annual Club Picnic at Sara Lee’s Lake House
Directions:
From 485 inner or outer exit 16 (Highway 16 Brookshire Blvd) exit north towards Denver NC
Continue on 16 into Gaston County and cross the bridge over Mountain Island Lake.
Make a right at the light immediately after the bridge onto Horseshoe Bend Beach Rd, there is public boat access at this turn as well.
Continue on until you see a neighborhood sign that says Imagery, make the right hand turn at this sign onto Horseshoe Dr.
Make the very next left turn onto Horseshoe Lake Rd.
Continue on Horseshoe Lake Rd approx. 1/3 of a mile, as you rise up a small hill look for a large bush on the right hand side obscuring the street sign, the sign reads The Loop.
Make a right on The Loop and slowly continue to the end, the very last house is your destination.
